Excellent well paced and informative
Brilliant podcast - I came across the podcast by accident searching for something else but as I knew nothing about Russia’s history so decided to give it a try out.
Well I am now 38 episodes in and hooked, now listening to an episode or two a day to catch up. Damon’s delivery is perfect with the information formation laid out like a banquet , Keep up the good work

Fantastic Show
The host is very likeable & has a great personality. He keeps the show fascinating & has a good pace which gives good detail but also keeps things moving. Love the show. Wish I could buy the fella a bottle of bourbon!

Amazing
One of the greatest history podcasts around. Does an amazing job presenting the essential of the often entangled and confusing history of the russian people. I wish my history teachers would have treated the subject with the same passion and attention to detail as you do. Great job!

Russia or Moscow?
Excellent work! Don’t get wrong, it is monumental work to capture twelve centuries. Plus, the British tongue makes it enjoyable to follow all these episodes.
However, this is official Muscovites narrative. We’ve reached a point where a clear distinction ought to be made between “Russia” and Moscow. For past thee hundred years it has been cultural appropriation by Moscow to claim the exclusive rights for all Russians. It’s time to recognize and appreciate the rights of other eastern Slavs. At the same time, we should call Moscovites by their name. The Ukrainians and Poles still use the old
term “Moskal”.
By the same token, let’s talk about the Ruthenians
history. King Danilo? Their rights to be called Russians.

Great History - Great Narration - Timely
Recently found this podcast, started at the beginning and am almost caught up! Very easy to listen to, good humor, and in view of current events - really essential listening. Found this podcast after a mench from Mike Duncan during his Revolutions (Russian Revolution series) and glad I did! Thanks for your hard work.
